{"id":2265,"date":"2025-12-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-14T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/actualitat\/recontouring-of-bone-and-dental-structures\/"},"modified":"2026-05-26T15:23:45","modified_gmt":"2026-05-26T14:23:45","slug":"recontouring-of-bone-and-dental-structures","status":"publish","type":"actualitat","link":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/en\/news\/recontouring-of-bone-and-dental-structures\/","title":{"rendered":"Recontouring of bone and dental structures"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The patient presented with a malocclusion caused by mandibular hypoplasia, aggravated by the loss of teeth.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Orthodontic treatment was proposed to compensate for the malocclusion, with the option of undergoing orthognathic surgery for mandibular advancement to resolve the skeletal problem.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the patient accepted the surgery, we proceeded to place dental implants in the absent spaces.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subsequently, we initiated orthodontic treatment with the objectives of recontouring the arches, aligning the teeth, and improving the airways.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before the completion of orthodontics, orthognathic surgery was performed, also improving the lower facial third, which was in a retruded position compensated by a prominent chin.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, we restored the implants with ceramic crowns and replaced some old crowns to improve adaptation to the gum margins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":2266,"template":"","categoria":[38],"class_list":["post-2265","actualitat","type-actualitat","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria-casos-dexit"],"acf":[],"meta_box":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/actualitat\/2265","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/actualitat"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/actualitat"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/5"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/2266"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2265"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"categoria","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ccervera.knut-studio.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categoria?post=2265"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
