The patient presented with a malocclusion caused by mandibular hypoplasia, aggravated by the loss of teeth.
Orthodontic treatment was proposed to compensate for the malocclusion, with the option of undergoing orthognathic surgery for mandibular advancement to resolve the skeletal problem.
Once the patient accepted the surgery, we proceeded to place dental implants in the absent spaces.
Subsequently, we initiated orthodontic treatment with the objectives of recontouring the arches, aligning the teeth, and improving the airways.
Before the completion of orthodontics, orthognathic surgery was performed, also improving the lower facial third, which was in a retruded position compensated by a prominent chin.
Finally, we restored the implants with ceramic crowns and replaced some old crowns to improve adaptation to the gum margins.
